Fulham preview: Need to find form
Marco Silva has done a good job in charge of Fulham this season, as he has for the last few seasons, but criticism is coming his way with poor Premier League results coming around an FA Cup fifth round loss at home to Southampton.
The home team most recently shared a goalless draw with struggling Nottingham Forest the other day, backing up a 1-0 loss at home to West Ham United from before that cup exit to second-tier opposition.
Burnley preview: Parker back in London
Burnley are continuing to show fight but it does appear to be relatively fruitless with the Clarets beginning the weekend sitting nine points adrift of safety with just eight games to go.
Scott Parker’s side most recently shared a goalless draw with AFC Bournemouth. Draws aren’t really enough for the Lancastrians as Parker heads to face off against his former side this weekend.
Fulham team news: ESR & Tete doubtful
Marco Silva has to deal with a couple of doubts for this weekend with Kenny Tete requiring a late assessment due to a finger and a foot injury, while Emile Smith Rowe is also a doubt.
The Englishman has returned to training this week but may not yet be ready, while club-record signing Kevin is unavailable after recent surgery on a foot injury.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Andersen, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Iwobi; Wilson, Cairney, Sessegnon; Jimenez
Unavailable: Kevin (Injured)
Questionable: Tete (Injured), Smith Rowe (Fitness)
Burnley team news: Coming soon
In his pre-match press conference, Burnley boss Scott Parker did not report any fresh injury concerns and he is also now dealing with any fresh suspension issues.
Jordan Beyer, Axel Tuanzebe and Josh Cullen are sidelined. Connor Roberts and Zeki Amdouni are training on grass but some way away from being fit. Mike Tresor has been back in training for a while.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Dubravka; Worrall, Esteve, Humphreys; Walker, Ward-Prowse, Mejbri, Ugochukwu, Hartman; Flemming, Anthony
Unavailable: Beyer (Injured), Tuanzebe (Injured), Roberts (Fitness), Cullen (Injured), Amdouni (Fitness)
Questionable: Tresor (Fitness)
Fulham vs Burnley prediction
Burnley have lacked quality throughout this campaign but there are also fair concerns over the overly conservative nature of Parker, which is something Silva rectified and improved down in west London. Fulham have to be viewed as favourites to get back on track but a lack of form and Burnley’s stubbornness may not make it straightforward for the hosts in the capital city.
Fulham vs Burnley tip: Fulham to win & under 3.5 goals
