pure shite once again, “i take the blame – we were technically poor”.

eddie you can take the blame by resigning before you spend all summer trying to sign harry wilson to play him at right back.

  2. Well that’s a damn shame I was hoping it would go along the lines of “I’ve tactically run out of steam, spent a kings ransom on players who can’t do the job, and now brought shame to the city and its inhabitants because I can’t get a tune out of the players I have worked with for years now” but I guess I’ll take those lame duck platitudes instead.

I feel bad for saying this but I’m actually sick of the sight of him and sick of the sound of his voice.

I also think he has absolutely no concept of what the derby means to fans, despite claiming he gets it.

Really hoped he’d have more to say and more passion/anger. I know that’s not his style at all but in not doing so he’s pretty much confirmed he doesn’t get how important beating them means.

I don’t think heads will be down in dressing room, itll be jokes and laughing elanga and wissa dabbing and shit.

    Full rebuild needed.

  5. We are going backwards and probably lucky not to be in a relegation battle with our performances this season

Get Filipe Luiz or Zidane or Xavi.

Everyone says ow they won’t come. Freaking cuntts. At least try.

Same old asinine questions asked by the same old journalists. Slipping him excuses with the wording of their questions. Newcastle sports journalism is a hugbox.

They would have been booed off whoever they were playing today. Outrageous performance second half

need to fuck off mate. Get Ange in, at least it will be entertaining compared to this dross.

  10. I see a lot of the normal stuff – he’ll always take responsibility for the team picked, defend everyone in the moment, and state the calls made during the game were his. But he’ll also always state he expects players to take responsibility and deliver. That’s High Performance Podcast Eddie. TBH if he’s out there answering the press and the players are in the changing room looking each other in the eye that’s what I want.

What I see more of here than at previous moments is Eddie acknowledging the ceilings we have. To succeed last season we needed 30 peak game deliveries. This season 50 or more. We neither have the depth of quality nor have we picked a lane to prioritise.

He also directly named the missing players. Those that are good enough that aren’t available. He doesn’t do that normally.

I wish one of the tinpot local journos had asked “this season has clearly been a challenge in competing on so many fronts – what is needed to do so successfully within the known constraints and how can you deliver it?”.

Instead it’s Louise Taylor asking if they were just more up for it. Lazy IQ80 bollocks.
