Personally, at this time, I think we could all use a break from the manager.

  2. He is clueless, isn’t he?

He acts like Liverpool is the only team that has to play midweek.

  3. UuusernameWith4Us on

The manager needs to learn how to rotate. Jones has been fully fit this year – how many minutes has he played?

  4. I’m just excited about Xabi coming back. I want to see what he does with prime Szobo

  5. Money-Commission9304 on

Hopefully their national team coach will make them work on their fitness.

  6. bam-margiela00 on

Considering he’s a low tier manager that relies on the players’ individual brilliance, I guess he’s not wrong

  7. Again, slot dodging any responsibility like a fucking pro…

  8. Fuck off. Chiesa and Rio were on the bench and he subbed Jones for Ekitike. I thought he simply looked like Mickey Mouse but he thinks like one too.

  9. “have to play a player in a position he is not used to” in reference to Cody? He looks lost in every position but you pick him every week

  10. I know he’s going to be insufferable if we beat City after the break, only to lose to Fulham the next week

  11. Complaining about not being to able to rotate when that’s been his choice since he got here is wild

  12. We have Calvin Ramsay as a RB and apparently Slot doesn’t rate him. And at this point what’s use of an academy and squad players, if you are not going to utilize anyone when needed.
He’s a coward and it reflects in the team, they all play scared -even Virg- when we are challenged by a competent team.

Enough of this shit gaslighting everyone that his lax training and inept tactics aren’t the issue with the team and its performance. Too honest but too arrogant to admit he’s out of his depth.

I expect Gakpo to play 90 mins again and lose the ball because he only knows to play with his right..

If our distance covered stats were what they were under Klopp he’d have a point….but they are the opposite so this just comes off as a deflecting excuse.

  15. The second paragraph should’ve said:
“I hope international team managers understand, we do not train as much as other teams and our players can only play for 70 minutes tops. And I really did not like rotating players early in the season and did not use my subs. Pushed my players with very little fitness training. So they are all injury prone.”

  16. He talks about other clubs being able to rotate and he acts like he doesn’t have that ability.

Yet he has had plenty of players to rotate, be he decides not to.

As the weeks go by, it is becoming so glaringly obvious who/what the problem is. The problem is trying his best to deflect while he drowns.

The team look to hate playing his style of play and won’t give the effort in what looks like defiance.

  17. Fool outcasted his played like Elliott, Quansah, Endo, Chiesa last season and then complains about not being able to rotate.

Players are not dumb and it will definitely be harder to recruit squad players with him around.

Slot “I haven’t been able to rotate as much as I would like to”

Also Slot “I dont like to have a big squad and like to play the same players if I can”.

Those two things cant exist. You’re basically asking to have great squad players but would never play them if you werent forced to. Good luck getting squad players to buy into that with your legendary man management skills and charismatic personality.

  19. diegowesterberg on

You can complain about being unable to rotate or you can start Jones over Mac Allister once in a while. You don’t get to do both.

  20. ginopalladino on

He doesnt rotate because since day one he’s played favorites and uses the same 12 no matter what.

  21. He might say that but watch him popup in Mallorca over the preseason and not interact with any of the players who stay behind. Chiesa has even stopped staying behind in hopes of leaving an impression.

  22. They’re on holiday all the fucking time.

Klopp used to make them do 3 training sessions a day.

Now they do 1 and a couple of photoshoots.  Then piss off on holiday.

Show them all that Ox interview. Klopp didn’t have the technically best players, but he made sure they didn’t stop running and pressuring.

This team can barely jog after 50 minutes

IF a manager needs the 25 best players in the league to win games than perhaps it isn’t the players that are the problem.

Teams are going to have fringe players.

But when our best starting XI can’t even put two passes together, alot of them showing regression this season, even when they have had a week between games, I’m not sure you can blame the fringe players.

  24. rosstheboss939 on

I would say the manager needs a nice, long, perhaps even permanent break from coaching this squad.

  25. Duke_Remington_9910 on

Clutching at straws. Players don’t seem to have been fit enough all year. It’s hard to have a lot of sympathy for him when he speaks in terms of the number of games played and even the injuries we have gotten. They are no doubt factors but they are not the primary reasons why we have lost as many games as we have or played as poorly and as ineffectual as we have. I don’t want him to go and he seems a thoroughly decent guy and a good coach and he has had massive boots to fill but the drop off in standards the last year means he probably can’t fix what’s gone wrong

  26. Why can other players rotate more than you Slot? You haven’t had more injuries than other clubs. That’s been debunked multiple times

  27. My man said that he had to use players in unfamiliar positions, then put Rio or Chiesa instead of Jones thus making Wirtz go up to forward

  28. Just go already, turned the fittest team in the league into a team that barley keeps physical composure past 50mins, alarm bells need to start ringing, this isn’t getting better with Slot in charge

  29. Judgementday209 on

    Yeah whatever slot.

What im wondering is what exactly are the clubs hierarchy doing here? The guys been terrible for most of the season, get him out of here.

  30. Timing is perfect for some light renewal, positive affirmation and self awareness for the squad. Surely a revisit to Ibiza would solve our problems.

  31. I_make_poor_decisons on

Oh ffs he’s still crying about player availability? Wasn’t it his idea to have a smaller squad?

  32. I will fully accept our recent bad run of season ending injuries to Bradley, Isak (I know he’s back soon) Endo, Leoni: what I don’t accept is the players who were chomping at the bit last season for more game time are still not given minutes. Salah and Ekitike both injured today our only other attacking option was Rio or Chiesa and he throws on Jones and completely messes up our shape. 4-4-2 diamond is the way to go to beef out our midfield and have our attacking players actually in attacking areas not stuck out wide contributing very little. I think this season tactically especially with substitutes he’s got it oh so very wrong he trusts no one on his bench and is extremely reluctant to use subs. Frimpong comes off and Konate, Joe must be sat on the bench feeling demoralised that he’d rather put two midfielders in defence. It’s a joke.

  33. They don’t need a rest, you need to rotate and they need to train differently. Get this joker out.
