Those 9’s literally had no midfield for one, and no defenders for the other.

We’re outperforming teams that had gaping holes in them.

What’s worrying is how they just pinned us in today. 2-1 down and we couldn’t get out of our defensive 3rd for huge portions of the 2nd half.

We weren’t just beaten, we were completely out played.

United, Everton and Villa away all still to play.

Chelsea, Brentford, Palace and Brentford at home still to play.

I honestly struggle to see us getting 3 wins there, seriously. We could easily loose another 3/4 games in that list.

  4. And the season is not over yet…

    2018/19-2019/20 + 2021/22 was unprecedented greatness

Slot is breaking all kinds of records.Earlier,City completed a double over us in some 70 years.

Slot has ruined what klopp built, perfected and trademarked that took almost 10 years to do in just 1 year and half

Idk who cursed us, but whoever did, did a near perfect job. Swapped our mentality with arsenal’s. Gave them a superpower to get away with every antic and offense, while attracting goals out of the blue. While our players have become soft, cant draw fouls even with reckless challenges, and the second they try anything themselves, get a foul called against them.

Two heartbreaking incidents in the summer starting with the parade. The main PL-proven CB we were after falls through in the final minutes of the window. The other CB gets a season ending injury in his first game. Our most expensive signing ever gets his leg snapped by arsenal’s “rival”. Salah’s form as well as Macca’s, Ibou’s and Gakpo’s fall off a cliff. Salah’s incredibly so. One player in, one player out. Bradley showing promise at RB gets a season ending injury, only for arsenal’s rat to worsen it even more. Again unpunished.

Went from feeling like we were on top of the world while Chiesa’s chant was all we sung for months, to a massive crisis where other teams are now singing his chant.

Shocking reminder every time I see that gold badge on our sleeves.

A Klopp team could genuinely do double digits against this Slot team.
    Probably with the same players.

  9. How do we already have more losses than the season when we were playing a combination of Hendo, Fabinho, Nat Philips and Rhys Williams?

How is that man still in a job?

You can say what you want about the injuries and stuff we have had this season but we have had 3 out of 4 of our back 4 available 99% of the time. Our midfield hasn’t seen too many injuries either.

He may have been left a touch short, but this is solely on management at this point in my opinion.

You can go back further, there were back to back seasons of 14 losses in the Roy/Kenny years. I am expecting Slot to match that

  11. We are two losses away from equalling Chelsea’s 15/16 season (which was so horrible that they’re within touching distance from relegation at certain point, then Mourinho got sacked)

Too afraid to take action, on and off the pitch. September 2026 can’t come soon enough.

This is a geometric progression but in the wrong direction.

God, we did have such a high peak between 18-20.

  13. Which is level with the worst season under Klopp, which he didn’t manage the 1st 3 months of.

  14. Liverpool totally deserved to lose….
    So f poor performance…

How is Gakpo playing the full game ….
Sums up slot tactical nous …SLOT OUT!!

  15. From a purely, coldly financial perspective, it’s unacceptable to have spent the kind of money we have and not get top four.

This will have a knock-on effect. Maybe good. Maybe bad.

    Probably bad

  16. OrangeJuiceAlibi on

Not to detract from how poor it is, I’m not trying to pretend it isn’t. I just find it mad that we’re in 5th currently with 10 losses (could fall to 6th), yet 5 and 6 losses were only 4th worthy. Say we drew five of those 10 losses, we’d be one point of 3rd, if we’d won them we’d be three clear in 2nd.

There is zero denying this has been a poor season for us, and I am not in any way trying to defend it. I just think it also bears noting though that every team has been poor, even Arsenal, who are on course for the lowest points for a winner since Leicester, and the 10th lowest points for a winner ever.

No doubt I’m still going to get comments tell me it’s unacceptable for us to be this bad. I’m not saying otherwise, I also think it’s unacceptably poor on our part. I’m just saying this season as a whole has been awful.

  17. To put in further perspective:
We had 10 losses in the 15/16 season and finished 8th
    12 in 14/15 6th that year
    14 in 11/12 8th that year
    14 in 10/11 6th that year
    11 in 09/10 7th that year
    10 in 06/07 3rd that year
    14 in 04/05 5th that year
    10 in 03/04 4th that year
    10 in 02/03 5th that year
    14 in 98/99 7th that year

Seasons beyond that are harder to compare due to 42 game season.

We’re getting into the territory of our worst ever premier league losses in 38 game season history.

Clowns will still go on about how Klopp was just as bad as Slot in 20/21 and 22/23

  19. AngrySkate41 on

More than Klopp’s two worst seasons with us btw

And in 20/21, he still managed to get top 4 with nat phillips and Rhys Williams

I’ve just woken up from a coma. We won the league surely in 2018/2019, right?

  21. AppropriateWay1497 on

The fact that we did not win the Leauge when we only Loose one game still hunts me.

  22. Internal_Explorer591 on

we’re absolute shite and we deserve this. we’ve become a source of banter too, with how crap we’ve been.

  23. Alisson

    Bradley Leoni Gomez –

    Bajcetic Endo –

    Salah Isak Ekitike

Just missing 2 players to make a pretty decent XI.

Trent, Jota, Darwin, Diaz, Tsimi can be on the bench.
