**Substitutes: Bayindir, Fredricson, Heaven, Malacia, T. Fletcher, Mount, Ugarte, Sesko, Zirkzee**.

Michael Carrick has named his team to face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium tonight.

It’s an unchanged XI for the Reds, following our 3-1 victory at Old Trafford last weekend.

The only swap in entire squad sees Tyler Fredricson replace Noussair Mazraoui on the bench, who Carrick revealed was ill earlier this week.

  2. Not sure what to do about Sesko but whatever Carrick is doing is clearly working.

  3. I’m starting to get slightly annoyed with the same first eleven every time, but this might be the perfect game for Mbeumo up top, so can’t really complain to much..

Sesko to score of the bench again!

  4. Surely Sesko has to be starting over Amad/Mbeumo at this stage it’s like City benching Haaland when he was on form, madness

Please just win – don’t care how…. Can’t be not winning 4 times in a row against Bournemouth

  6. Still hate the idea that just because he scores off the bench it means he’s just a super sub. Especially when the rest of our frontline haven’t been great recently.

Maz pulling a sickie on Eid, I see you bro 👀

    (Would literally do the same)

  8. Really dont understand based on current form why is Mbeumo starting every game ahead of Sesko. We need Sesko to reach 15 premier league buffer zone that will be so good for his confidence for the new season.

In the end you need to win the game after 90 minutes, and giving Sesko these limited minutes where the opposition is tired and he can really perform well is working amazingly for him.
Personally I think this is really well for his development as he is really young still and he is showing he can perform for us. While I don’t think this would be Carricks reasoning, we sometimes seem to forget how toxic our fanbase can be even to young players and what effects it could have mentally on our young players.

  10. Really wish Sesko would start. Mbeumo has been in bad form lately but I trust Carrick I’m sure he has his reasons

  11. Mbeumo hasn’t been good at all playing as a number 9. He looks so uncomfortable there like his natural position in this team really feels like on the right wing. It should be him and Amad competing for places like if there’s one guy in that attack (aside from Bruno) that should be guaranteed 90 mins it’s Sesko

If we’re winning and Sesko keeps scoring as a sub then like fine I can’t complain too hard, but the lad is clearly working insanely hard, finally scoring goals for fun, and it just feels like name-value alone that’s keeping Mbeumo / Amad starting these days

I get that it is working right now and we shouldnt change too much but I think it is also good for the players who play well to be rewarded. It can be hard to keep motivation when you constantly have to prove yourself.

Also feels like a Sesko goal of the bench is expected and puts even more pressure on him with less minutes to accomplish it

Shakey record vs Bournemouth in recent times might be looking like a tie today but Carricks at the wheel so fuck it we ball
