Newcastle United’s clash with Crystal Palace has been rescheduled after the Eagles progressed into the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League.

United were due to play Palace on Saturday, April 11 but the fixture has been switched to the next day.

A Premier League statement read: “Four matches handed new dates due to Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest’s involvement in UEFA competitions

“The Premier League has confirmed four further fixture amendments as a result of UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League fixtures.”

The game will now be screened on Sky Sports on Sunday, April 12, with a 2pm kick off.

A Newcastle statement read: “The Magpies were due to travel to Selhurst Park on Saturday, 11th April for a 3pm BST kick-off, but due to Palace’s participation in the UEFA Europa Conference League the preceding Thursday, the game has now been moved back to Sunday, 12th April, with kick-off set for 2pm BST.

“United’s clash with Oliver Glasner’s men will also now be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

“Any further fixture alterations will be communicated at the earliest opportunity.”

Oliver Glasner’s side will face Fiorentina on the Thursday night in the last eight of the European tie. Newcastle were denied a victory in this fixture in the 90th minute last season when Daniel Munoz pounced to cancel out Marc Guehi’s own goal.
