Fire and thick black smoke could be seen billowing from the hood of a car in Furland Mews as firefighters worked to thwart the fire.
Eyewitnesses said the road is closed while crews continue to work.
The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.

A spokesperson from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service: “A crew from Fordingbridge alongside a crew for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a vehicle fire this morning (20 March) at 10:45am in Furlong Mews, Ringwood.
“The fire which involved one car and an adjacent fence was extinguished using Compressed Air Foam and two hose reel jets.”
