This kid, all things considered, has been close to putting the team genuinely on his back at 19 years old. Our only player that I haven’t thought for 1 game all season isn’t giving enough, or doesn’t care. Gets thrown all over the place and does his role well enough wherever it is. Captain in the future and close to our captain right now
Last year was Bergvall’s breakout season, and I was bummed Gray was pushed to the sidelines out of the spotlight mostly because he had to just play for the injury crisis.
This season is Gray’s year, and he will definitely get the young player of the year and maybe even player of the year.
Pape-Gray-Xavi-Bergvall is a solid foundation for the future, with Vuskovic in the back and Teldobert in the front, we have a nice future. We still need more experienced players. The Dansos, Palhinhas and Gallaghers. I know people like to downplay Gallagher because he wasn’t the signing we wanted but I think he is a good player and a good presence in the locker room

I understand he is versatile and we have had a shit ton of injuries. But just let him play his natural position going forward so he can keep learning and progressing there. First name I’d write down on the team sheet if I’m manager currently.
Gray was always the player where I could see that he had the physical tools but the Pl seemed too much for him and he played scared. Since the start of 2026 though has been our best player. What a player. I hope bergval recovers from injury quickly and we stay up because the league is not ready for them as a box to box duo.
