And Thomas Frank somewhere seething that a player had the audacity to shoot from outside the box

  2. Watching this with a big grin on my face. This is how Spurs are supposed to play.

  3. In real time and from the TV angle that didnt look nearly as clean/smooth from Archie, what a player we have in him man. Also great to see one of those from Xavi finally go in instead of just forcing a class save or just barely flying by on the wrong side of the post.

  4. My wife is wondering why I’ve suddenly renamed our 6 year old dog to Archie. I’ll send her this.

Proper celebration too. The older I get the more I cringe at the rehearsed shite.

    Love it

  6. Definitely a mis-trap by Sarr there lol

But from Archie I believe they call that “flow state” nowadays

It’s nice to see decent PL tempo, balance and passing not to feet but to direction of travel. I think the kids might call it ‘flow’, although this is flow at serious pace (which isn’t too clear from slo-mo).

Xavi dong his thing between their defensive lines is cool.

  8. Damn i love xavi’s celebration there- no slick planned moves- just pure joy and excitement! Hope he gets more of those. Coysss

Was there a recent rule change that allows players to move without the ball?

This is THE quintessential Xavi Simons playstyle & goal.

Man i’m so glad that Archie & Xavi link up well.

  11. This is the Xavi we signed, let him play around the oppositions box. Frank sticking him on the wing frustrated me so much

I hate to compare him to any scum, but Archie’s style of play kinda reminds me of Declan rice a bit. If he can foster this and keep progressing at the rate he has been over the last couple of years, lil bro may become a serious baller

I think I posted this a few weeks ago, the midfield passer we’ve begged for *is* Archie, this season has shown he’s a centrepiece to build around.

If he can add a bit of bulk he’s going to be instrumental to our midfield, I just didnt realise it while he was being played at CB last yearÂ
