      Other interesting tidbits here:

      * Wages remain the overwhelmingly best predictor of results. Not one team was able to overcome being the team with the lesser wage bill, although it should be said that Real Madrid, of course, only beat Manchester City on this parameter because Mbappé was subbed on during the second leg.
      * The Premier League teams occupy six of the top seven spots for transfer fees paid to recruit the players used during the Round of 16, but only two of these managed to progress.
      * Premier League teams spent a combined €4.369.930.000 to buy the 111 players used during this round, more than double their respective opponents, who spent a combined €2.195.685.000 to buy their 105 players used. Despite this ridiculous contrast, Premier League teams only won three games, drew two, and lost seven with a combined score of 18-30.
