I get that hes legally too young to play but why is everyone saying hes too young in general and to leave him alone for years? What happened to if youre good enough, youre old enough?
Bowman is getting experience with the first team. Google says Yamal was 15 years and 9 months when he made is Barca debut. So where is the disconnect on our end?
If hes not yet ready then hes not ready, but to act that it is absolutely impossible for a 16 year old (he’ll be eligible next season and turns 16 in October) to play or get some time around the first team is an interesting postion to take.

He has the potential to be a generational talent but I take all these articles about players in their early teens with a grain of salt. A lot can happen between 15 and 17/18, let alone early twenties. Oftentimes the talent is there but the player suffers under the weight of high expectations. Guaranteed the first time he turns out for the first team in a summer friendly and loses the ball, scuffs a shot, gets bodied off the ball, etc., those same writers will be calling him a bust.
