If one pays attention, this is a very common problem with commentators in the English speaking world; black players get confused for each other sooooo much more often.
There’s actually some interesting sociological research to suggest that people are better at distinguishing minute feature differences amongst people who look more like themselves; which I would say intrinsically makes some sense if we’re honest
