Ferran should start (he is trash but so is Lewan, at least Ferran sometimes does press)
Lewa as ST. And if Lewa is not available then I’d choose:
Wojciech Szczęsny, Joan García, Diego Kochen, Ronald Araújo, Jules Koundé, Andreas Christensen, Alejandro Balde, Eric García, João Cancelo, Pau Cubarsí, Gerard Martín, Marc Casadó, Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi, Dani Olmo, Fermín López, Marc Bernal, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardghji
As a Striker.
Unfortunately, both are in terrible form. Lewa missed atleast 2 clear chances yesterday against Sevilla and Ferran was also no good in his previous outing.
• Lewandowski ( however both are terrible at the moment)
– Garcia( but Martin has been decent and syncing well with Cubarsi )
– Fermin ( more consistent than Olmo this season)
– Cancelo ( the signing that might actually shape our season)

I genuinely think that we should try false 9 like we did last year none of Ferran nor Lewy are doing much
For Cancelo and Balde there should be no debate about Cancelo I couldn’t understand how people were frustrated with his signature claiming he were bad defensively like we even have a defence atleast we have a strong addition in the attack also I think that Raphinha isn’t a pure winger so Cancelo would help us a lot offensively
Wouldn’t try to break the momentum between Maldini and Cubarsi.
Lewy is also horrible but I hope he does his best that day against Newcastle
Fermin and Olmo both are needed

Olmo- He should start as a false 9, he’s good at hold up play and very technical and can draw fouls in dangerous areas.
Gerrard martin maldini- Syncing well with cubarsi and a good option to match newcastle’s physicality
Fermin- Best AM in the world atm.
Cancelo- Balde would be a good option to match their pacy wingers but you just can’t drop cancelo after that performance yesterday.
Also i believe if we get a decent lead after half time, Ferran should be subbed on for his pressing.

Lewa – yes he’s having difficulty finishing but so does Ferran. At least is better at opening up space for others.
Olmo- when he’s healthy he can create
GM – better height and physicality suited for CB
Balde- Yes cancelo got that amazing run but he still scares me defensively. Our FBs need to walk a fine line between attack and defense and IMO Balde is the better option. Some might torch me for this citing Balde’s performance BUT I will say Balde got hung out to dry in a few matches as Rashford just doesn’t press. When Rapha is in front they are a great combo.
We should play both Martin and Garcia, with Garcia being the Right back. I’d take Fermin over Olmo. Plus Balde is not even in the equation so Cancelo obviously. Among Lewa and Ferran Lewa is a better choice but honestly we should try Rashford for once.

The truth is that there is no this or that for us. each of the player in the category is a different type of player. Olmo doesn’t do what fermin does. lewa doesn’t do what ferran does.
we can’t know who will play unless you deeply analyze how the team should adapt to play against newcastle, and then make a prediction.
Ferran for big games and Lewy for CL games
1) Lewy against top teams as long as he’s fit.
2) Although Gerard Maldini has been our lucky charm lately, Eric is a better defender and more complete player overall, plus he’s been amazing this season.
3) I just love Fermin, but Olmo’s been very good lately and playing more consistently, so idk really, depends on the day and the opponent.
4) If Cancelo keeps playing like he’s been lately, he should definitely start on big games, at least for the remainder of the season, since Balde will be out of form (he actually was before the injury lol).
Edit: I wish, as lot of people here been saying lately, that Flick starts Rashford as 9 at least for one games against lower teams, or even sub him in against Newcastle as 9 if we get a decent lead early on in the game. I think it will be interesting, and with his explosive pace he could make some serious harm.

If neither Lewy or Ferran is contributing with goals or assists, I might take Ferran simply because he is better at pressing
Lewa over Ferran any day. Lewa atleast creates space for others, has great dummies like the one againt Sevilla, great linkup play, catches many long balls, and is great in defending corners. Ferran does non of those things.

I would rather play olmo as 9 than lewa and ferran.inside the box he’s a demon and his movement is very good. I feel like eric and maldini should be rotated equally . Finally cancelo because hes brings so much threat in attack which i never seen from balde in this current season ,but he’s about 34 yo so fitness and injuries will be a issue so balde should start in laliga matches and cancelo in ucl .

Here’s the thing, if Ferran is completely bad in front of goal he at least is going to press like a maniac. Our press and pressure at the Nou Camp is going to be vital…

Lewa – why? Cancelo has great crosses, he might find Lewa a couple of times, same as Yamal.
Martin for sure – Garcia hasnt played in the last games.
Fermin – for the intensity, and bring on Olmo around min 60. for more ball control.

Starts are overrated in my humble opinion. But it requires an agile manager that can substitute as-needed. Our manager can be headstrong and too steadfast, unfortunately. Nothing is stopping him from changing anyone who isn’t performing at all, by the 40 minute mark.
