4th-8th all dropping points this weekend while we win pretty convincingly, I’ll take that

Wolves keep going at this pace and the relegation fight could get even more interesting. It sounds mad but Leeds are winless in their last 5, Spurs and Forest in last 7

Nice to be able to say that a gameweek worked out fantastically (in terms of both us winning and all the teams around us dropping points) for us for a change.

Think that was a really good response to our first real major setback under Carrick, a really huge 3 points against a fellow top 5 team. Puts us in a really strong position and we’ve got some breathing room between us and Liverpool/Chelsea while Villa look likely to potentially drop out of the top 5 completely over the next few games.

  4. If you had told me at the start of the season, after the Grimsby game, Brentford away game, or after Amorim got sacked, that we’d end March in 3rd, even 4th, I would not have believed you in a million years.

Imagine saying after the first 5 that we’d look so much better than Liverpool and be above them.

Truly a weird season. Been so many low points yet could secure only our 5th top 3 finish in the last 13 years if we keep it up.

  5. No one freak out if we don’t beat Bournemouth on Friday night. That could be our hardest remaining fixture, given our record against them, the fact it’s a long trip and they haven’t lost a game since the beginning of January.

They’ve scored once and conceded once in the last four games, so it’s likely to be a boring one too.

  6. Newcastle won twice but still at 9, didn’t really realize they were quite bad this season, just thought they would be like 7th. Also, they picked the game against us to turn the 2L around.

  7. Hopefully Villas free fall continues whilst Slot and David Brent keep working their magic on their respective clubs
