Narrow win on cards for Bees

Although relegation from the Premier League has long felt like a foregone conclusion for Wolves, they have shown plenty of life recently and they are likely to make Brentford work for a win when the sides clash at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Wolves slipped to a 3-1 defeat at home to Liverpool in the fifth round of the FA Cup last Friday but before that they had recorded back-to-back league wins over Aston Villa and the Reds.

Rob Edwards has undoubtedly galvanised the side and, even when results have not gone their way, Wolves have kept things tight, not losing by more than a goal in any of their last five league games.

Brentford are the side with more to play for as they aim to stay within reach of the European places and they have picked up 25 of their 44 league points on their own patch.

Wolves, meanwhile, have yet to win on the road in the league, losing 10 of their 14 away fixtures, so the Brentford win is the way to go.

But each of their last three league wins – against Burnley, Newcastle and Aston Villa – has been by a single goal, so there could be a bit of juice in them winning this contest by exactly one goal at 5/2.
