Basically with him we’re a team without him we’re a different team

It’s not just win/lose thing it’s the way they play (progressive passes, big chances creation, shots.. etc)

We really need him back from the Fiorentina game forward

  1. the problem is about thuram: he should cover the absence of lautaro but he is completely uselss

  2. Lautaro has that goal instinct especially against weaker teams, Thuram is not consistent, Pio is developing, and Bonny looks more of a shadow striker

His hold up play, vision re passing and shots are amazing. Not to mention he comes back and defends, and distributes re counter attack

  4. Ok, mandatory preface that I hope will limit the otherwise inevitable comments: yes, Lautaro is very important for Inter, especially on those tricky matches against smaller teams that park the bus. Yes, his injury is definitely affecting Inter.

**HOWEVER**, it’s also important to read the data in context: in addition to Lautaro, the team is also missing Chalanoglu and we’re playing our best midfielder, aguably best player, of the season (Zielinski) out of position to cover for that. Most of these games were also played with a cone at rwb instead of Dumfries, so it’s a bit naive to just post winning percentage and correlate it with Lautaro’s abscence, who’s not the only variable missing there (and may I say, I fully believe that the absence of a healthy Chalanoglu is hurting us much more).

its pretty obvious that lautaro is a key player nobody can argue against it

but with this said this correlation/causation is hard to attribute to a single player and how many games are in this sample? who were the opponents? how was the rest of the team? etc

    example of random correlation:

    games with kamate: 100% win

Not the first season we suffered when Lauti don’t play. The main difference is that this season Turam is not picking up the slack like he did last season. Is worrisome that at this point the next threat after Lautaro is Pio (good for him personally but stressful at the same time, he’s only 20yrs old)
Bonny started out good but he is on the selfish part of his career and is costing the team at times.
