This 2017 Cardiff lineup was something else. To me, this is the absolute peak of Real Madrid’s modern history—the chemistry, the balance between the midfield trio (KCM), and the sheer dominance in Europe. Every time I look at this photo, I remember how untouchable we felt back then.
I'm curious to hear from everyone: If you could bring back just one player from this specific era to join our current squad (besides Cristiano Ronaldo, of course), who would it be and why?
For me, it has to be Marcelo. His flair, his connection with the attack, and that smile just made watching football better. Prime Marcelo was basically a cheat code on that left flank. Who’s your pick? Is it Ramos for the leadership? Modric in his younger days? Or maybe prime Casemiro to solidify the CDM spot?

aside from cristiano i would bring back kroos or modric. if ur talking about their prime at madrid and not just how good they were 2017 i would also include benzema as one of the options
But Marcelo needs a player like Ronaldo or Benzema to be as amazing as he was. I would pick Benzema. I love him, I love his hunger for goals and for winning. Everybody was scared when CR left. Everybody asked who would replace him and how Real Madrid would perform without him. Basically, everybody was like, “He is good, but he ain’t Ronaldo.” And Benzema showed the whole world that he is a genius. A masterpiece of a striker and a leader.
This was one of the seasons where I watched every single game
If 2022 benzema played with prime cr7 and bale we would have won EVERY SINGLE THING. not saying benzema was bad back then but his finishing was bad.

Man utd fan here. This just popped up on my feed. Just a question. How was Casemiro rated amongst fans? Before coming to us, I only saw him in mostly in the CL and I remember him being class for you guys.
He was brilliant for us first season. However, understandably due to Age catching up to him is form has dipped. He still has his okay games though.
