Hard to play a high line & go towards a man to man press without elite level centre backs. Don’t feel like we’ve really been carved open by teams frequently but the individual mistakes are definitely costing us.

My biggest issue is that he didn’t seem to watch us before he joined. Maresca adapted with Sanchez and made him one of the better Pl keepers.

Now we just went back a year to have error-prone Sanchez so he can’t bail out our shit defense.

The clean sheet stuff doesn’t bother me much because our defense sucks. We had the amount of clean sheets we did because of Sanchez. So it wasn’t like Rosenior messed up our defense all that much.

But what he did to Sanchez is awful.

  3. Right. Let’s sack him. I’m sure the next manager is gonna be the one. Jesus fucking Christ

  4. People will compare him to Maresca, but this is the problem with hiring a younger coach. He is a number of years behind Maresca in his development. Years we don’t and shouldn’t have as a club of our stature.

  5. What do you mean Brentford didn’t score from 1.6xG? Complete misinterpretation of xG lol.

Also if Brentford didn’t I am sure others scored from 0.05xG. xG models are only useful to identify macro trends. Go touch grass and learn some useful things and do something better with your time.

it’s just been a bad season in general, we’re better under Rosenior than under Maresca but the schedule got tougher, players are getting tired, some players are getting found out, some players showed up and showed out under Liam early on but they don’t get into our best team.

We also have some misprofiling issues going on under both coaches, Reece is an awful midfielder and Fofana is an awful defender, Pedro Neto in the free role is like playing with 10 men, and Delap still gets no service. A lot of good can be done to overturn this mess but it won’t happen this season, we have to wait for a few players to get replaced

  7. The issue is so much deeper than the manager I am telling you next In line is Garry O’Neil whether you like it or not.

The real issue is Eghbali, Winstanley and Stewart competent individuals wouldn’t even consider the likes of Rosenior or O’Neil

  8. How many different managers are going to be the problem before people start pointing fingers at the board/directors, and our recruitment?

I don’t think he’s the guy but the fact we have 1 clean sheet in 12 and I don’t think it’s his fault at all really says a lot about the state of our CBs besides Levi

  10. I’ve never seen such a kamikaze approach to defending especially when it’s the weakest position on the pitch, bloke is clearly out of his depth and has no idea how to solidify results as a priority

  11. Love how the mods leave this post up but work overtime to remove any post that’s critical of him or the owners

  12. Its not about mgr in or out…the ownership have already briefed that managers are inconsequential to our success (they dont mind blaming mgrs to hide their deficiencies though).

  13. It’s not just the number of goals but the type of goals- the goal against Newcastle was a single pass from their own half that split us open- same as Dembele’s goal. Hopeless stuff

Maybe managers actually need time with players and maybe even a pre-season

We need to get a new experienced manager in the summer. He’s fine as an interim, but I don’t know how much longer the new manager bounce is going to last. l
