Jim White, Simon Jordan and Danny Murphy react to Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr alleging that Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni racially abused him during Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over Benfica in a Champions League play-off.

The boys are then joined by Paul Mitchell, vice-chairman of Charlton and EDI Lead, to get his reaction.

  1. And UEFA do nothing ,as per usual, everything is alleged ,but why cover your mouth , Mouriniho is outta order and he himself knows its more likely his player did racially abuse Vinicius ,

  2. This issue is quite rife everywhere in the world. All comes down to education. Racism is not born it is taught. Unfortunately when you go to certain parts in the world it gets worse. At the moment it seems South America is under the spotlight. Very disappointed with Mourinho's comments. Yellow card for a celebration, the irony, the guy is from Brasil, samba is in their blood.

  3. It’s a criminal offence. But regardless, if an employee was racially abusive to another worker, they’d be fired immediately. He should lose his contract with the club, and be blacklisted.

  4. If you watch the video where Vini runs over to the ref you can see that the player lifts his hands up in the air when he cant even hear what Vini is saying to the ref. As if he knows what Vini is saying and realises he is in trouble.

  5. Fifa acts like a game of football is played in Fifa country. The counry where the incident happens has a legal right to intervene and make criminal charges when Fifa reports it. Its clear, all Fifa has to to is report and lay a charge, but they handle it internally. If Fifa acts like any company then you do have a right to investigate internally but when it comes to criminality it must be given to the legal authorities. If that is not done Fifa should be charged with aiding and assisting criminal activity. That is clear

  6. If you call people names, it doesn't matter if it's about the color of their skin or the color of their hair, their height or weight, or their big ears, big nose or teeth. One is no more disrespectful, offensive or harmful than the other. The only difference is that we have a name for some of them. Black people do it just as much as anyone else. They're just hypocrites with double standards. Zlatan was constantly getting bullied for his nose, I've never heard him whine about it once. There's a difference between doing a dance on the pitch in front of his teammates and running out and doing it in front of the opposing fans. You can't act provocatively and then whine because there is a backlash.

  7. Racism in Europe is treated as a criminal offense, with punishments ranging from heavy fines and community service to significant prison sentences, depending on the country and the severity of the act. The EU Framework Decision (2008/913/JHA) requires all member states to criminalize public incitement to violence or hatred based on race, color, religion, descent, or national/ethnic origin, with penalties of at least one to three years of imprisonment. No sportsperson is exempt from this so whether it’s a man in the street or a professional sportsman you deserve the same punishment

  8. Imprisonment for words? Worlds mad? Would they have the same view if it was a white guy abusing a white guy? Racism is the only form of prejudice anyone seems interested in talking about.

  9. what is wrong with us as human beings? Where is the hatred coming from and why? When someone hurls derogative racial abuse at you and you have done nothing even remotely wrong to deserve it, you can only conclude that the hatred is coming from the perpetrators heart, his inner being. He hates you for no other reason than your race. And that truly hurts, and for Mourinho to react the way he has….. With all his experience and passion. With all the players who he has coached and who have sweated blood on the pitch for him, players of every race, that played as a team to bring him titles. Yes, take Chelsea for example, when Mourinho was winning trophies. He had players of every race, playing as a team to achieve legendary moments. Playing for the club and your team mates, backing eachother up is essential. and Mourinho would have drummed that into his players, so yes i am very disappointed with his actions

  10. You Europeans been doing this for a long time now ..
Jr you did the right thing call this racism out at all times and stand your ground as a proud Blackman ..
