this isnt a terrible lineup, but I swear Pep is trying to prove some point by not playing Cherki. Also, i dont know how badly Haaland has to play, and for how long, before he gets dropped. (i mean, if he’s going to score against anyone it will probably be West Ham, but i hate to see underperforming players who are deemed “undroppable”, even if it’s Haaland)

Don’t get it man. Cherki had a run of 4 starts in a row at the end of January and bangs in 3 goals in those starts. He was red hot and then gets benched. Since then only 3 starts in 10 matches. He was even buying into Pepball and not turning over the ball near as much as he was to start 2026. And oh btw, he’s still #1 in XA per 90 in the league. The top creator in the league can’t even get consistent starts? Feel bad for him.

Still missing Cherki and Nico G. We need another defense mid who can go between the lines and hold on possession. Surprised Pep loves Cherki sooooo much that he gets short 20-30 min cameos and still gets in an assist or goal. Better start him for sure in Madrid. Other than that… we should be ok
