This looks like a back 5… oh goody because that went well last time. Eh, at least there’s no Kilman.

  2. Not feeling great about a back 5 but Forest used one against City and it worked pretty well

  3. Three central at the back rarely works for us, but with Cry out then I’d rather add Todibo to the lineup than Traore, so it makes sense.

    Helicopter Special around the 80th?

  4. Two man midfield against that dull bunch of tiny little passing pricks. Nuno brainfarts are back

5 at the back is ok, All 3 of those can step out into the midfield and make it a 3 in possession. I think itll be ok

I’m feeling less fearful of a back 5 with 3 solid centre backs instead of he who shall not be named

Normally i’d be wary of a 5 back, but Haaland always seems to score against us

I like the line up, our 3 centre backs have been solid and going to need them tonight

  9. 3 centerbacks doesn’t work for us. Hasn’t worked a single time all season.

We should be showing ambition and going for it against a City team who just played in the Bernabeu three days ago and had to travel back and then travel again to London. Perfect game for Adama to be starting and leading counterattacks against tired legs.

Instead it’s sitting back and inviting pressure without any real outlets up front to threaten with pace. Can’t see us getting anything today unfortunately

  10. When will we learn the only way to get anything against city is to actually try play them – it works for others, sitting back never does

In terms of a back 5 I actually don’t mind the team, it looks solid for big games without kilman but can’t see it working against city specifically

Was confident until I saw the 5 at the back. Still backing the boys but it’s gonna be a long night in this formation.

  12. West Ham playing a 5 back and we’re playing against Haaland? These are things I see in my nightmares.

  13. Traore will come on second half. We are reversing our previous tactics of attacking first and then trying to shut up shop – we’ll try to keep things tight from the start (and maybe nick something on the counter), and switch to attack later on.
