I swear, the non existing quality of german referees is insane. It is not just this game again, it is almost every game which includes VAR decisions. The referees forgot how to officiate a game.
VAR is supposed to make the game more fair, to almost eliminate wrong decisions. What it does tho, is that even tho there is video evidence, there is the same amount if wrong decisions, if not more. What makes it even mire frustrating is, that you’d think they’ll decide more reasonable because of evidence, but they don’t.
Part of that is the stupid rulebook aswell. Nobody, especially the referees, knows what a hand ball is anymore. In terms of VAR it seems that every player has to cut off both arms in order to get no foul. It is just stupid and I have become a die hard referee hater because they have earned it over the years due to their lack of quality.
