Will they bring in a box defending coach or does it not statistically matter?

  2. I don’t get how you can have a position as a set piece coach but only the attacking side of it. Surely you should be able to coach both aspects of set pieces and improve us defensively too?

Also confused by why we’ve tried the tactic of leaving 3 players outside of our box when defending and it’s worked for us and then we’ve abandoned it afterwards.

Anyway, some of this is not helped by not having 11 players on the pitch, players like Garnacho not doing their job at the back post and the tallest player in the team (Tosin) hardly jumping to contest the ball. It’s imperative that if we get a CB or Midfielder in the summer that they are tall and actually good in the air. Our squad building has been terrible in that regard. We’re dwarfed by most teams in the league

Some of this is absolutely about poor CB play.

But some of it is also about giving up ridiculous transition opportunities by doing suicidal things in possession.

  4. Hopefully those in charge have seen this and realize it’s both a coaching and a recruitment issue. Need at least one strong/aggressive 26+ year old RCB with top flight experience.

  5. Such a stupid graph. Why are the axis inverted. Took me by surprise at first glance.
