    **Article:**

**Noussair Mazraoui is set to be fit for Manchester United’s Premier League game against Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday.**

The defender limped out of the defeat at Newcastle nine days ago with what appeared to be a pretty serious foot injury.

Mazraoui was not walking freely as he left St James’ Park, sparking concern the injury might be a bad one.

However, he was pictured at training on Wednesday and is set to be part of Michael Carrick’s squad at the weekend.

**Less positive news is expected of Matthijs de Ligt and Mason Mount though.**

**The pair have missed 17 and seven matches respectively because of injury** and despite head coach Carrick opting not to put a timescale on their returns, **it seems unlikely either will be involved against Unai Emery’s Villa side** – a game that could be key to Champions League qualification.

  2. Should really look to move Mount on this summer, far far too injury prone to the prem. Hopefully Napoli comes knocking

  3. I wish someone would actually just ask Carrick what the issue is with De Ligt. This unknown (likely back) knock/issue is frustrating for fans. We’d rather just know how long he’s likely out for from the start.

  4. I really like Mason Mount as a player, but it’s ridiculous how many games he misses a season through injury. Considering how high his wage is as well, it might be time to move him on. Assuming someone will buy him.

I’m seriously worried about De Ligt as well. He was so good at the start of the season but this injury seems never ending.

  5. Mount 100% has to be moved on in the coming window. We need to get his ridiculous wages off our books. Just so completely unreliable, really a terrible transfer all around

While I do appreciate less leakage from the dressing room and I know the club doesn’t owe me this info, but I’d really like some clarity on de ligts situation. What the fuck is going on with him it’s been almost 5 months…

had we gotten mason mount on a free or very cheap, and were he given his old number 19 or anything that’s not 7, nobody would care

it’s difficult to separate mount from the hopes and dreams of ten hag’s second season, the single pivot and 2 AM/CMs in bruno and mount … which never quite materialised

had we signed him to provide cover on the wings and midfield for cheap, everyone would have sympathy for his injuries

de ligt and mazraoui catch way less slack because we got them both for roughly the same price, and until this season, de ligt didnt seem this injury prone anymore

licha is also a big question mark, tho im so grateful he’s around and playing. great character

I like mount, but this is insane. He’s never fit and so unreliable. How can we build a team to challenge for titles if we cannot depend on the fitness of our squad?

I don’t even expect Mount or dlgt to play. These headlines are never a surprise to me. Mount has been a surplus in my mind dive we signed him. He’ll never out together a consistent string of games. It wont happen.
