Adaptation of hansi flick after Inter Milan and atletico Madrid!

Everybody in this sub were going after the team and araujo and hansi after the newcastle match, but we were tired after the atletico and bilbao matches and our core starting players are injured .

Last season against inter after the loss, everybody went nuts that we didn't hold the play and defend instead of attacking. And everyone went nuts after the loss against atletico.

For the first time hansi's tactics against newcastle was correct and were smart atleast by logic as we're weaker in midfield and attack after the loss of frenkie , balde and kounde. We played to our strengths and avoided more injuries by exerting ourselves like against atletico 2nd leg against such a physical team in such an away atmosphere.

Everyone complaining about ,"we don't have defense" all season but the one time we play defensively where the situation requires us to play a defensive match and still got a favourable result people still complain. See the years we won the ucl , that barca teams had a perfect or near perfect squads to play at our best all games….. Only barca have won that being the absolute best… Man city and bayern were also near perfect in 2020 and 2023 …. But looking at the ucl winners other than these three teams , the other teams have been saved by some lucky encounters and they played very smart in ko rounds.

We didn't do that even when we are not the best. Even last season we tried playing like that . For the first time we are being smart and using our circumstances to get result in advantageous conditions like playing our best only in home grounds and when players are available (thanks to the recent loss against atletico).

I'd rather have this instead of playing the only way against all teams and getting injured and getting conceded in tough away fixtures.

Playing to our strength matters right now and we did that. Actually barcelona already had this plan if we look at our group stage match against newcastle. In that match we played a more controlled game since we had de jong instead of all out attack… That plan was not carried out against other big teams because in every match against those big teams
We had our most important players out like pedri, raphinha, de jong, yamal and also red card against chelsea.

This way of playing does not mean that we are supporting an anti football team. Barca is never gonna be like that under hansi. But we have to play some ugly matches like these to win this competition (remember psg also did that last season against aston villa away. Sure they were not ugly but they were not good either and they were trying to hold their lead).

Maybe once when every players are at their best with a great attacking trio can we play our best football all season and try to win everything.
