A vast number of players will represent the Bundesliga in the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt from 21 June to 19 July 2019.

To the delight of all European clubs, the Africa Cup has been shifted from winter to summer, so all players will return to their clubs in time for the Bundesliga restart. Dortmund’s Achraf Hakimi and Schalke pros Amine Harit and Hamza Mendyl will feature for Morocco. Schalke’s Nabil Bentaleb is an Algeria international, whereas Salif Sané, another Royal Blue, will lace up his boots for Senegal.
Hoffenheim’s Kasim Adams will attempt to enter the limelight with Ghana’s Black Stars in Egypt, whereas Wolfsburg’s Marcel Tisserand and VfB Stuttgart’s Chadrac Akolo will try to live up to the high expectations along with their Congolese compatriots. DR Congo have privately been many people’s favourites over the last few years.
Leipzig’s Amadou Haidara will try to spring a surprise with Mali. Gladbach’s Ibrahima Traoré and Eintracht Frankfurt pro Simon Falette aim to light up the Africa Cup wearing the Guinea shirt. Mainz’s Jean-Philippe Gbamin will direct operations in Côte d’Ivoire’s midfield. Africa Cup holders Cameroon and Pierre Kunde Malong, who also plays for Mainz in the Bundesliga, will be looking to thwart Gbamin’s plans.
