As they seem to be all the range now, what are some of the most notable pitch invasions you can recall???
Falkirk and Dundee United have had big ones of late. Aberdeen had one at Dingwall last season too.
I still think Hibs in 2016 is the most significant of my life time. But I get that 1980 was massive too.
Oddly most pitch invasions don't seem to result in SFA investigations, political scrutiny, or media grandstanding…..

Nice to have some pitch invasions where the motivation is joy, not hate.
The one with United involved, did we head toward the Ayr United (?) fans for aggro testing?
Home fans going on to the pitch on the last day of the season doesn’t carry the same inherent risks of away fans running on to the pitch after a derby.
But even then, the United pitch invasion ended with Jack MacKenzie getting a chair thrown at him so overall the authorities should be doing their best to stop pitch invasions when possible.

I remember a few years ago St Johnstone were playing Motherwell. We needed to beat them to secure European football on the last day which we did. They had already secured it themselves, both sets of fans were on the pitch at full time and it was a good atmosphere and good craic from both sides.
Ah yes. Running onto the pitch to celebrate is definitely the same as running across to opposing fans to kick fuck out of folk.
I’ve said all my days anyone who goes on a pitch should be banned. Fans belong in the stands no matter what the scenario. Unless obviously there’s a serious risk to their safety somehow.
