Just tried getting tickets for the away game in Stuttgart. Those prices are mental! Standing tickets were already sold out (which is understandable seeing as most of them will be pre-allocated to fanclubs anyway) but those seat prices are crazy. 64€ for a ticket with a restricted view ("Sichtbehindert")?! No in-between category that's like 40-50€? For reference: The highest tier ticket at the Westfalenstadion (Haupttribüne, i.e. the main stands) is currently 77€.

I am well aware that tickets are too expensive in general, but I did not expect it to be this high for an away game in Stuttgart. I wanted to share this partly to vent, but also partly to bring attention to this and to serve as a reminder that we, as fans, must NEVER stop protesting against the financial extortion! Because those who set the ticket prices are not the ones who struggle with those prices. They don't have to think whether a 90€ ticket will overdraw their monthly budget. We have to keep persistent in standing up to our interests, otherwise we will get priced out of the stadiums entirely.

  1. Stuttgart have the most expensive away tickets in the league, by some distance.

    I could’ve gotten 2 x 80€ or 90€ tickets but fuck that.

This is a known problem, and is big part of the reason why I really dislike Stuttgart. Ended up paying the 90€…

  3. I like your pasion but I don’t see a future where that won’t be the case, eventually. Those who decide on the ticket prices act like the gatekeepers that made ticket prices for concerts quadruple over the last two decades. They set as high a price they can because they don’t give two shits about fan culture and inclusiveness. As long as the stadium is full at a decent markup, management doesn’t give two shits if there is choreos or singing.

As you said, the ones making the prices don’t know their fans or what a common man at minimum wage has to face and how big a sacrifice 80 bucks for an away game can be

I know it’s the opposite of the point of the post but; as an american im just stunned how low the prices are and wish we had held our sports ownership accountable over here the way you guys have.
