Everyone has the right to criticize, and the team deserved criticism for yesterday’s performance. But why does it feel like Inter dropped to seventh after that loss? It’s a cheap way to dismiss the journey of a team coming off a disastrous season.

Inter is still top of the table with a 7-point lead, the best attack in Italy, the third best in the world, the team that creates the most chances and has the most wins in the league. Lautaro is the league’s top scorer and Dimarco has the most assists.

Inter won away at Atalanta in Bergamo, at Roma in the Olimpico, and beat Lazio, Juventus, Como and Bologna. Inter has beaten every team in Italy except Milan and Napoli.

Does Serie A say the champion must beat second and third place to be considered convincing?

Yes, there is frustration about the games against Napoli and Milan, and the team deserves criticism for those matches. But Inter is a club of titles, not moments or single games. The team is on its way to winning the league and the cup, and that is what truly matters.

The reaction is so intense because over the last few seasons we seen Scudetti split from our fingers and a pummeling in a UCL final when the team turns off like this. The reactions are fair given what we have come to expect.

  2. If u go from 4p to 7p with a derby win,we say 1 hand on the title.
If u go from 10 to 7p by a derby loss, the morales of the teams are different

  3. There’s no denying that this team is mentally fragile. I dont think some of our core players, starting with Barella, are over the CL loss. They have lost a lot of confidence on their abilities. That’s why you almost never see conviction on their strikes outside of the box. It’s like they kick the ball knowing they will not score. They never do anything that might carry risk so they opt for the easy/simple pass.

They need to bring on some mental coach. Because it’s not physical preparation at this point for some of them.

The team has shown mental fatigue plenty of times this season but after the exhaustive attempts of last season coupled with the disappointment of winning nothing and traveling halfway across the world with a drained team to play in a completely meaningless tournament…… exactly what did people expect?

There’s been disappointment for sure but bearing in mind we’ve also started with a new coach, has it really been all that bad?

    I don’t think so.

well, having them not using us to wipe the floor every time we face one another would be a good start
