celtic fans: mini pitch invasion to celebrate with their team after a gutsy cup victory away to their biggest rivals – something supporters of virtually every club in scottish football would do
rangers ultras: entering the pitch and charging the length of it to assault celtic players and staff, police officers, and stewards and launch flares into the away section
half the people in this sub for some reason: these are both the same thing to me!

Rangers fan posted this because his team and what it stands for is disgusting and this sort of obfuscation is the best they can manage.

Pissing myself at the fact this has been uploaded for less then an hour and the comments are full of exactly what the video is depicting

Old Firm weekends are mental because you get fairly balanced takes and banter from the regulars, then theres the fucking mutant reprobates who show up once in a blue moon with some of the most brain dead shite you see on these boards.

I can’t make it clear enough that Rangers fans were far and away worse cunts at the weekend, and the behaviour is deplorable. I don’t know how much clearer I need to be on that. It was despicable and I hope the club hammers them, and if the club sits on their hands I hope the SFA hammers *them*
But ticketless fans charging into the stadium and damaging it is pish as well, if a lot less. I actually don’t even have much of an issue with the pitch invasion because that’s a celebration. But it seems to be a very online behaviour where your side has to be spotless because nuance is lost and people can’t evaluate their side in any way whatsoever if it looks slightly negative. Even with my caveat at the top and subsequent explanation, I know I’m still at risk of comments going “so you’re saying a simple celebration is equivalent to assault?” and it’s just… exhausting.
For the old firm in particular I think it’s pretty clear we’re better off without the allocation chat.
