I simply do not rate a midfielder/10 **who can’t even turn with the ball and get out of press.** If you play with your back to the opposition that means **you are closed off, and your passing is useless.** He is the best passer we have, but he just spams crosses from right half space. He is useless unless he doesn’t have acres of space in the right half space and especially bad with his back turned. Most of his passing comes when he is facing the opposition [not having his back turned] and receives the ball in his stride. Elite midfielders are able to drop deep [with a defender following them], receive, then turn and release a pass. The pass comes from different ranges and different angles. Arda also does not understand angles, because he cannot create an angle with his dribbling like Isco and Modric used to do. Arda also doesn’t have a range of a KDB in his passing.
Also, when he doesn’t have the ball, he is net negative because his movement is poor and he can’t crash the box, can’t head, can’t tackle, can’t press, can’t win the ball back.
A very limited player. **Could never be a Modric replacement, not even Isco.**

I rate Thiago higher. Yes Arda is more talented and has higher potential but dude since the euros he’s taken like a 100 curvy shots and hasn’t scored a single one we need improvements from this guy

This is actually a really nice breakdown. What stands out is the consistency, most of those ratings are in the 7 range which for a young player still adapting to the team is pretty solid. The assists also show he is contributing even when he is not scoring. Definitely looks like steady growth rather than just a few flashy moments.

You cannot conclude anything by just looking at this. I expect more goals from Arda, but this is such a low IQ-post. It has the same intellectual complexity of an average Trump voter.

This is meaningless. If the whole team performs good or bad issue is not the individual talents. Nico Paz or Modric also wouldn’t give their whole talents to the team if they were playing instead of Arda.
Problem is tactical and the people who are responsible for those tactics. Even Mbappe was performing bad. No one can say Mbappe is not one of the best players in football as of now.
Look at all the players shined after leaving Manchester United.
