Bruno Fernandes is the classical modern day stats merchant, top player to get G/A but a weak player mentally who easily crumbles emotionally under pressure and when things don´t go his way. as a captain and locker room role model he´s not respectable and that´s why hes not world class. I get that he's their best player, but even still i personally have thought he was overrated. Ik he gets lots of g/a and runs a lot and all that, but espicially in midfield he's a liability. The amount of goals they conceded because he was playing deeper were far too many

As a united fan, I am glad to see he seems to finally be getting the respect he deserves by many people, including by opposition fans. The guy has been world class from day 1, absolutely unreal player. If he had joined Barca or City or another recently successful team, people would have been raving about him for the last 6 years. Never injured, always gives it all, even when he is having a bad day he never stops trying and he will more often than not get a goal or an assist. Wish we had 10 Brunos on the pitch every game.
I'll admit that I've been very harsh over the years on Bruno. I don't like his petulance during games. If Bruno was playing for a better team, he definitely would get more respect as a player. To get 100 goals and 100 assists for a club is difficult and something to be proud of because it's rare to see

I really enjoy your content and I respect and value your opinions, man. All the more reason why I'm so disappointed with this video. Bruno isn't named among the best because he doesn't belong there. He's not world class, he's not elite, he's not even a playmaker. Let's break it down:
1. You called him a midfielder a number of times – he's not. He's playing in midfield but name me another midfielder who's completely unable to hold on to the ball in his own half, play short losses possession in front of his own goal a number of times every game. For every single one of the chances he creates, he creates one for the opposition. He can't dictate tempo, mark players or tackle, and he doesn't track back. He's an attacker who plays a little bit deeper but all of his best attributes are of an attacking player, not a midfielder.
2. Why KDB is appreciated but Bruno isn't? Well, because KDB is a playmaker and he's the reason why Guardiola's City worked so well, meanwhile Bruno only works so well at United because they're playing the brand of football that benefits him the most. Speaking in tactical terms, Bruno is a cancer to any elite team. That's why only United and Spurs were trying to sign him. He forces the team to play counter-attacking football because otherwise he's useless.
3. Maybe, MAYBE if he was the only one and there was an actual playmaker behind him it could work somehow but United's midfield doesn't exist. The disconnect is horrific. Bruno is the passenger in the midfield, Mainoo is a half-winger/mezzala type of player and then you have Casemiro who's a destroyer. Look at the way United play in possession – everything has to go down the flanks because they can't play through the middle and it's largely Bruno's fault.
4. "Oh but he has a lot of goals and assists" yeah, CR7 scored a lot of goals as well and yet there are people who point out the tap-ins and pens. Bruno is on ALL set pieces, has been since he joined. I'm also not gonna say he's terrible at everything. He's probably one of the best set piece takers and crossers of the ball in Europe – that's the bulk of his assists.
Normally, you do a lot of research for every video and yet it feels like you haven't actually watched Bruno play for United once. It's very disappointing.

Honestly I think it comes down to him not being physically impressive or flashy. The casual fan can't see easily his quality.

The reason why Bruno isn't in and probably will never be in the naming of greatest current midfielders is 2 things.
1. His mouth/ Attitude
2. He disappears everytime things start going wrong.
