      Stupid narrative for foreign coaches why don't people realise maybe it's the players who are over rated and the manager has exceeded expectations? Southgate is England's best manager in 50 years that's a fact

      Foreigners for a country like England won't work. Capello was a revolutionary manager and had a really top group of talent but when you hear of the environment the players didn't buy in. Club coaching is very different as you have day to day management. Howe would be very good choice I think.

      This why you got to give Mbappe his dues. Made it to two WC finals before he’s 25.

      They forget all the players will be 4 years older at the next WC. There’s no guarantee they’ll be at the same level or even improve.

      Knows the team done two big competitions now and done real well. The experience and learning Gareth had built up is second to none it’s him who has built this team he can do this x

      Give him another chance he’s a great manager

      Let’s ask ourselves a couple of questions regarding England.
      Is Jordan Pickford a World Cup winning goalkeeper? Individually and collectively, are Englands back four a World Cup winning defence?
      Now we see where the problem resides.
      It wasn’t difficult was it?

      Get the best manager for the JOB – regardless of nationality or ethnicity!
      Eriksen, Steve McClaren, Allardyce, Roy Hodson we’re all useless.
      Capello had the pedigree but no experience in England, but imagine if we had Pep, Klopp, Tuchel or Wenger who have experience and pedigree in England!! All who to an extent understand the culture and have rapport with players 🤷🏼‍♂️
      Hiring an English manager just for the sake he’s English is just stupid!

      Close result against France tho the favs so if that’s not improvement then wat is, it all takes time he deserves to lead the team to another tournament he’s earned his place

      A lot of people seem to be divided on this. Personally I think we need someone who is tactically astute and knows how to win. If this happens to be Wenger or another foreign manager then I see no reason why not.
      It's only been a year later and people have already forgot that England would be European champions right now if we had a manager that was better than Gareth Southgate. But I haven't forgot.

      All day long.Southgate should never be anywhere near this squad or job.he’s not any good.he wouldn’t get a managers job in premier league.I think not even in our championship.I could have take this squad to finals and semi finals.but even I would leave the best player on pitch and not sub.I would have made changes in a final against Italy in 90 min.not wait till end of extra time..we need Thomas Tuchel poch,even pep.The FA have no idea.never have.always except for Terry Venables.even Alf Ramsey in the day nearly going to be sack..these guys are still run by who they know not what they know,hence Southgate,record,relegation with Middlesbrough.

      Why are English fans so xenophobic about the manager? Just get the best manager for the job, its clearly not Southgate he isn't learning. He has stalled at the first big team every tournament, and everytime its strategy/changes that are the issue

      Word about Southgate over achieving with this squad makes sense. If you really think about what type of players England have none of them bar Jordan Henderson have won anything domestically.

      Be aswell to have a foreign manager, your league is built on foreigner , English managers and players and bog standard players … foreigner prop you lot up so much , yet you have a complete lack of respect for that fact .

      Yes, because when your team lacks that last little bit of necessary backbone to win trophies, Arsene Wenger is definitely the man to provide it. 🤦‍♂️ He brought a lot of good to the Premier League, but once the last of George Graham's defensive spine retired, Arsenal never seriously challenged for the Prem again over 38 games.

      Forget the nationality crap. If the best available man is not English, he’s the one to go for in any case. We’ve been here before, the FA actually picked Allardyce ! Hodgson, Sven , and various other disasters. People suggesting Lampard, Howe, and Rogers – who’s not English anyway. If you’re considering an Irishman then why not Tuchel, a far better manager, who would bring a very different vibe to the dressing room. His tactics , his experience and his winning record in major tournaments, none of these other candidates can match.
