United havent played good at all the last few games, but everybody just looks at those first two wins and see them as enough. Brilliant performance against city and arsenal but we usually do well vs the good teams. It’s always been the mid table / bottom table teams we struggle with and the lowblocks. Carrick has showed that he can’t handle them (at least so far but with that being the biggest issue you’d think he’d have a plan for it by now especially after his winning streak). 10 man Newcastle scores 2 against us and we get a pen which was controversial to many. To have 55% possession vs 10 man isn’t ok, and people shat on Amorim lmao (not defending him but look what happened today, not to mention that I think 3 or 4 of newcastles starters were not available for this game.
We are still toothless, it’s Bruno and Casemiro carrying this team, Casemiro has as many GA as cunha, 1 GA less than sesko… even though we could still be fine and finish third this + the Tottenham, west ham, Everton and palace games was a test and imo shows why Carrick shouldn’t be chosen over the likes of (best case scenario) Enrique. The fact that people wanted Carrick after he beat arsenal was insane. Ange had the same record as Carrick, Ole won his first 8 i think, results are good for us now ofc but it’s about performances aswell. We were the weaker side for the whole game.
Also tonali, what a fucking midfielder that is. Been wanting him since his suspension lol. Hope we go for him and get him but I wouldn’t be shocked if he goes back to Italy.
