Iwobi placed the ball with the inside of his foot from outside the penalty area into Vicario’s corner, yet he still failed to save it. Inter’s management going for Vicario would be a huge risk honestly, and I truly hope they avoid making that move.

If he came, he probably wouldn’t be as bad as he is with Tottenham because the system is different.

But why go for an option that’s far below your level? Why not, just for once, do what others do and bring in a goalkeeper who can actually carry the team?

I raise you the game before this when he kicked the ball straight out of bounds from a free kick. The offical prem account had to take down the video for mocking him

  3. As someone who used to follow Tottenham, I have a couple things to say. Firstly, he’s not as amazing and flawless as some people make him to be, but he’s a decent keeper. Honestly, I would rate him above Sommer in terms of reaction time and saving abilities. Again, he’s not a world class keeper, hence the video above (although I do think it’s a tricky shot by Iwobi instead of it being Vicarios fault)

Where he does fall short is in his ability to pass and make quick decisions clearing the ball. In recent seasons, especially this one, he has made a lot of errors by passing the ball to enemy players (watch their home game against fullham)

TLDR: He’s decent, not that great, but not that bad either. This clip doesn’t really prove anything. His weakness is passing, which sommer sucks as well

I agree he’s been unconvincing, and is indeed a risk, but there are certain factors at play here. It’s been reported that Vicario has been unhappy at Spurs and wants to leave. We can also note the overall demoralization their whole squad is experiencing, which also adds to the quality drop. He should start feeling more confident with our defence. Look at Onaná😂
