Rumor:
"According to Tuttojuve, Juventus offered Vlahovic a revised deal of 6m euros net per season plus bonuses. The striker, however, declined the proposal, believing he is worth a higher salary and could secure a more lucrative contract elsewhere. The report states that Vlahovic informed the club that he would prefer an offer closer to 8m euros per season, a figure he considers attainable if he departs the Allianz Stadium as a free agent."

6+2M max, unless they renew him for just one year, so they don’t spend big this summer on a striker, and focus on defenders/midfielders.

  2. It’s under the 12 mil he earns today, so yes. Although I’d make it 7 mil + another mil as a goalscoring bonus & tie it to achieving UCL & league objectives maybe 500k apiece.

However, we are talking about rumours, we shall see if & when the parties will sit at the table if they reach an agreement or not.

  3. Give it. Still a significant reduction in wages from 12m and also we don’t wanna lose him for free. Maybe try negotiating till 7 but without being too strict .

  4. He’s not getting 8 millions from any club in Europe. 6 millions is already a lot for a striker that never reach 20 goals per season.

If he’d be open to 6 for a season with a possibility to renew at 8.75 for 3 years that is probably what I’d go with.
But honestly I’d take him at 8 but if he said “closer to 8” I’d give him 7.75.

  6. I hope we don’t even consider that… would much rather spend the money on another striker. I think a lot of our poor form in recent years has been down to him leading the line. It’s really tough to beat man marking (which it seems almost every Serie A team utilizes now) when your forward can’t hold the ball up at all. Some of his touches / holdup play were comically bad.

I appreciate that he always played and ran really hard, but would be happy to have this season be his last.

Vlahovic is a mediocre striker on not so mediocre wages who we have taken for a ludicrous sum in hopes that he would progress here.

Fast forward to now, he is very much still the same player at best.

The biggest reason to still stick with this excuse of a striker is sunk cost fallacy, which is a baaaad reason.

  8. It’s simple: Yildiz deserves to have the highest salary in the team. Vlahovic can’t get more than the same amount. If you go over that, other players will ask for more, and they would be right to do so

  9. 7 mill one year + 1 mill bonus if more than 30 goals in all competitions.

Only if our baldness likes him.

That’s too much. He just played well few games this season. He is prone to injuries and dramas. I would prefer to get someone else with that money
