Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui are doubts for Sunday’s World Cup Group F match against Belgium (27th November) after picking up injuries in the opening goalless draw against Croatia on Wednesday.

The two players are expected to undergo more tests on Friday before a decision is made on their fitness for Belgium.

The rest of Walid Regragui’s men are fit for selection buoyed by their performance against Croatia and ready for the Belgium challenge.

Kevin De Bruyne and his team-mates did not live up to the hype of being the second-ranked team despite starting the World Cup with a 1-0 victory over Canada on Wednesday.

Regragui, who took over Morocco only three months ago, has reinstalled unity in the “Atlas Lions'” ranks by bringing back to the fold Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech and Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui.

Departing coach Vahid Halilhodzic had side-lined the two players to the dismay of the Moroccan people.

The Atlas Lions came into the tournament having only lost two of their past 40 games across three years.
