Seriously, 90% of what we do in the summer has to be in midfield. Keep Mainoo and Bruno, try to sell Ugarte and Mount, sign as many replacements as needed.

Obviously midfield is more of a priority, and a superstar winger would cost so much money as to take away from that fund.
Cunha, Dorgu Amad and Muembo are obviously all capable of playing there and we have Lacey coming through. A natural, more experienced, winger would help – but I honestly at present don’t see our attack as much of an *issue.*

Dalot is shit and Shaw is approaching retirement and I still don’t trust his injury status despite him having an unusually high run of game albeit we’ve had A LOT less games to play this season…

Sort out of the CENTRE midfield first. Any formation requires a stable and reliable centre midfield. Once it is sorted, it will sort out most issues, followed by a rebuild of defense. With the right/left full back blowing hot and cold, and with Luke Shaw always a tackle away from injured, time to let him go.

Must it? Think we’d be better off with a left footed, rapid left back to provide width that side. We have Amad on the right, and enough forwards with enough quality across the rest of the front 4. We need to spread our threat and quality across the pitch, don’t need to stack a squad full of 12 attacking options for 5 positions.
We’ get more out of our left side by having someone like Nuno Mendes outside Cunha than by replacing Cunha with a player like Raphinha or whoever Ducker reckons we should sign.

From the last few games, we definitely need a left winger to provide some width. We were better when Dorgu was playing, and he was not even a winger. Ndiaye and Diomande would be nice, but they will be expensive and we can’t have all our wingers be African.
