I could not believe it when Pedri won the ball from sorloth in the 93rd minute
Ferran…what a deal FOR City
I’m upset but proud of the players. I think atletico gave up so I’m not sure how we will fair against another top club but I remain hopeful.
Respect for all
we shouldve just rested our players and avoid the unnecessary injuries
Ferran meanwhile whistling in the background.
Cubarsi masterclass….he was winning headers against sorloth…
I am proud of you, Mr Flick!
interesting take on cubarsí’s potential
pedri’s stamina is unreal
No thanks to you. The team was killing themselves for those chances and Atleti was giving it to Barca time and time again, and even though the Atleti’s gameplan and Ferran’s uselessness was clear to see, you didn’t have to balls to sub that guppy out early for a strong physical presence inside the box to benefit from all those freebie crosses and corners.
Ferran did not offer anything that Araujo couldn’t in this match. The rare moments he had free space to make use of his pace to go on a tight angle chance on goal, but a chance on goal nonetheless, he lies the fuck down to beg for a foul. Balls goes to him with his back turned to goal, he folds instantly with every challenge. He gets rare chances to pull a strike off, he shoots like a centerback. What did he offer more than Araujo would have? Just Araujo’s presence alone inside the box would have been a huge distraction beside his lethal arial threat and physicality to wrestle himself free for shots/tap-ins, and that paired with a fresh Fermin with his strengths outside the box would have helped Barca immensely more.
Meanwhile Hansi rode the whole damn gift of a match out with Ferran only to give in what even he thinks was the right choice by subbing Araujo in for that sardine…
Now can it be addressed how they only got to this point because their pitch was sabotaged?
Proud of the team! We’re out holding our heads up high. I hope this game serves as a mental boost. If we can bring some of this intensity, drive, and determination for the rest of the season, there’s no reason why we can’t do a deep run in the CL.
After the inter game this game I can say proudly that every players were locked in and gave more than their 100%
If one gave his all, let’s not see him in the central forward role again. K? No mas.
