Please. We’ve dealt with the likes of Mourinho and Guardiola, this little prick Hürzeler isn’t getting a rise out of anyone

I get the frustration from fans, players and managers alike that set pieces have generally turned into what looks like feeding time at the zoo, but it’s not a team or managers fault if they’re allowed to do that, it’s on the league officials and the FA to fix that
YouDontGotOzil on
Hadn’t we gone 5-6 games without a single set piece goal before the Chelsea double (triple)? And morons will tell you there is no Arsenal agenda

Luckily this isn’t just a rival trying to get into heads of their opponents just before a game.

Shocker. Next opponent manager highlights in the press something that might make a difference in the upcoming match in the hopes it’s makes refs think twice.

9 more wins using only set pieces/own goals please

You just have to find a way to beat ‘them’. That’s what took Arsenal down this route in the first place.

Genuine question
What’s the last team who almost universally rattled the league and audience. I remember Stoke with Delap’s throws but it felt just Wenger was complaining about them harshly.

Every post is now about Arsenal set pieces.

Wow I’ve never seen so many people complain about a teams style of play and means for goals as much as this 🤣
Quaker_Hat on
Was there a conference in which it was decreed scoring from set pieces is illegitimate? Let’s just have a long range shooting contest as those seem to be the only goals deemed acceptable now.

Don’t want Arsenal to have as many corners? Don’t play in a deep block and come win the ball high up the pitch.

Wtf is the title… Fabian Hurzeler didn’t criticise Arsenal. He criticised PGMOL. 🙃

Hurzeler has been a whine bitch after every one of our games against him. I guess he’s trying to get ahead of it this time.

Mourinho park the bus: Anti-football, what a shame
Time wasting throw-ins, MMA corner kicks: It’s part of the game mate

The actual article is titled “Hurzeler criticises Arsenal over delays at corners”. Why did you make a post titled something thay conveys a completely different message?

Anyone ever wonder why we play differently in the UCL to the EPL?
You’ve can only blame Arsenal so much before you have to ask yourself the why.
robster9090 on
I don’t think the issue is them scoring boring goals and their football being shit. There fans are fine with it so who cares but the issue that needs addressing is the ridiculous amount of fouls they seem to be able to make while also diving and going to ground none stop
the_watcher_oo on
Arsenal need to start scoring only absolute screamers from outside the box and watch how fast that’ll become critized as “selfish” or “individual” style of play
greatcharacter20 on
If you actually read his comments they are perfectly fair and hard to argue with. He says that there are major issues with the current rules around set pieces because (1) nobody has any idea when a foul is going to be called for blocking or holding, and (2) there are no rules around the amount of time you can take, and he points out that Arsenal in particular take ages over corners. There is a graph right below the second comment showing that Arsenal take the longest of any team in the league to restart from corners (44.4 second average).

They just need to call a couple fouls on attackers and defenders and then the mauling of opposing players on corners will stop

I’m sorry but every team does holding and pulling in the box, why weren’t the Chelsea players or united players criticised when they were doing it to us? The only reason is because arsenal might actually win something and everyone needs a narrative so they don’t have to look at the short comings of their own teams

Alright then just let us shoot at goal instead of parking the bus. That way you crybabies won’t face any corners. Win win 🤣

« Every supporter pays a lot of money to watch our games and should see the same game time,” Hurzeler said.
“They want to see a football event, not maybe 50 minutes when the ball is in the game and 40 minutes when the game is not running » I agree but, his team has only 0.5% more game time than Arsenal.

We don’t take longer than anyone else to take corners ?
The players get in the box – jostle around
Rice or saka puts their hand up and they cross it in
Could be wrong but I dont recall the time taken being absurd at all
