Bryan Ruiz González (born 18 August 1985 in San José), commonly known as Bryan Ruiz is a Costa Rican footballer. He is an attacking all-rounder, and can almost play in any position up front or even as an attacking midfielder. He is also known for his awesome ball control, heading, and passing. His brother Yendrick Ruiz is also a football player.On July 15, 2009, Dutch club FC Twente announced that they had signed the Costa Rican forward for the sum of €5m. Ruiz signed a 4 year deal with the Eredivisie side.[2] Ruiz made his debut in the 0–2 away win against Sparta Rotterdam. He got off to a perfect start for his new club, by scoring the second goal of the match. The goal was a lob after an assist from another newcomer, Miroslav Stoch.[3][4] Ruiz’s goal against NAC Breda on 12 December 2009 marked the 10th consecutive match in which he has scored this season.[5] On March 27, 2010, Ruiz made one of the quickest hattricks ever[6] against Sparta Rotterdam, with goals in the 46th, 49th (pen) and 50th minutes.
On May 2, FC Twente carried by Bryan Ruiz through the season were crowned champions of Eredivisie for the first time in their history, with a 2–0 win at NAC Breda; Ruiz scored the first goal at the 23rd minute of play.
Ruiz had been declared as the 10th world scorer in the 2009-2010 season by the IFFHS, above world class scorers as Diego Milito, Frank Lampard and David Villa.Bayern Munich are interested in Bryan Ruiz.He has been important for the U-20 national teams. He has also been capped for the full national team several occasions, most notably the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
In his native Costa Rica he is affectionately known as “La Comadreja” or “The Weasel” and in his early years he was also called “La Escoba” or “The broom” because he was very skinny and long-haired. He wears the number 10 on the Costa Rica national football team. He has already been selected several times for the national team. He played the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the qualifications of the World Cup 2006. Nevertheless, at the World Cup itself, he wasn’t part of the national team of Costa Rica.
In the qualification of the World Cup 2010 Ruiz was a member of the starting team and he scored six goals, which made him together with Álvaro Saborío topscorer. Costa Rica was defeated in the play-off against Uruguay and didn’t qualify in this way for the World Championship in South-Africa.In the summer of 2006, he was signed by K.A.A. Gent in 4-year deal alongside with Randall Azofeifa from Deportivo Saprissa.
He scored his first hat-trick playing for the Gent on December 8, 2007 against Lokeren. He was considered the best player for his team in that season in the Belgian League, delivering great performances during the games and being the captain and top scorer for the team. He was linked with teams such as SC Heerenveen, Anderlecht, Standard Liège, Club Brugge, Olympiacos, Napoli, Newcastle United, Celtic and Wigan. On May 14, it was informed that the Eredivisie champions AZ were interested in the Costa Rican player.[

Hahaha all u gunners fans are making me laugh your a sinking ship !! Cesc has gone so has clichy and nasri is on his way and next season it will be RVP and then walcott so why would ruiz want to join you lot and on sky sports news this morning hes told spurs to take notice and make a move !!!! YID ARMY !!! P.S wenger only buys kids aswell and we all no why …… Ohhh arsene wenger he stands there with a packet off sweets and a big cheeesy smile wenger is a fu***ng pe****ile !!!!!!!!!!
@madmaxy17 I'll play him as a striker. He has all the qualities to do great – can headers, one on ones, penalties, knows how to beat the offside trap, quick, technical, innovative, and most importantly he talks about going to Spurs or other teams.
Im calling a spade a spade and this kid does not look like he could handle the physicality of the premier league at all…Tottenham is better off with a Sturridge plus cash deal.
the only way arsenal will get this guy is if spurs dont want him its obvious he'd rather be at spurs have you gooners herad anything he's saying
i wouldnt like him at spurs doesnt look like an out and out striker …he's good but not what we need
Spurs don't need this lad. He's good, but he's only scoring goals for Twente. We need to get Falcao. Not overly keen on Adebayor, but I hope the rid army welcome him when he does come. With them two and lennon + bale whipping in crosses and planting them on their heads we should be heading for the top 4 again.
@gardenpanda1
