Top 8 Best and Worst Finishers in the Premier League – 2025/26
This ranking is based on xGOT – xG.
xG (Expected Goals) measures the quality of chances a player gets.
xGOT (Expected Goals on Target) measures the quality of the shots once they are on target.
xGOT – xG therefore estimates how much value a player adds (or loses) through shot execution alone.
A positive number suggests a player is consistently improving the quality of their chances with placement and finishing.
A negative number suggests underperformance relative to the chances received.
This metric focuses strictly on finishing ability — it does not account for movement, chance generation, or overall attacking contribution. As always, context and sample size are important when interpreting the results.

The bottom 8 could easily be top 8.
Is he getting screwed over by those goals he scored that were disallowed though? I assume he is, in which case he’d be near 0.
you know it means fuck all when Richarlison is in the ‘best finishers’ category and Haaland is in the ‘worst’
Useless stat
2nd worst striker based on finishing performance in the league you’ll never sing that
