  1. Just watched the draw, think I’d have preferred to be on the silver side. But oh well.

If we beat Lille, I don’t fancy facing Malen in the QF. Feels like a headline waiting to happen.

Lille, then possibly the return of Malen and then maybe Forest in the semis.

Would’ve preferred to be on the other side of the table.

  3. Shame we didn’t get the silver side of the draw but I still back us to do something real cool here.

Hopefully Freiburg can take care of Lyon.

I… don’t know if I like this… Roma (probably) next round, ffs. And while it was 50/50 we’d get Lille, for me it was always 100%.

Anyway, we go again. Let’s go Ginny, Boubs, and Youri, we need you.

  5. Possibly the toughest route possible, but we have to back ourselves. The pessimist in me fears Malen 90+1

The other side of the draw is so weak compared to ours. Although our team is good enough to go all the way, they just need to show up.

  7. So much negativity. Lille aren’t the side when we played them last. The Italian league might be the weakest of the top leagues in Europe. Would expect us to get to the semi finals at least.

  8. At least if we do actually win it, then it’ll feel like a massive achievement for us given our injuries situation and the toughness of our opponents.

  9. I guess the positive of this is that if we do reach the final, we play one of the teams on the easier side of the draw

  10. Almost the hardest draw possible, only adding Betis on our half would have been the absolute hardest possible.

Well we really would have earned it if we win the Europa this season.

Be positive. We will beat Lille and it will be Bologna. Lovely away city as well after the repeated home games.

  11. Lol of course it’s the absolute worst possible draw for us, Lyon will absolutely piss their way to the final.

Oh well, at least if we manage to get through it you can’t say we didn’t beat every decent team in the competition

You can tell some people in this thread expected us to sleep walk to at least the Semis. We were always going to get at least one tough game and if we can’t at least beat a Lille side with a 40 year old Giroud leading the line we were never going to win. Also everyone moaning about Roma while forgetting that if we get through Lille both Mcginn and Tielemans will be back.

  13. Haha as I now live in France I just knew we’d get a French team. Should be interesting should I decide to watch the game in a pub

  14. Right-hand side of the draw couldn’t be any tougher.

Stuttgart have a great manager with potentially some national XI German players. Midtylland were dominant in the league phase
