Manchester United and Everton played out a scrappy Monday night battle at the Hill Dickinson, but it was Benjamin Sesko who grabbed the headlines.
Neither side will look back on this as a classic, but more importantly for Manchester United, it was three more points.
It was another Benjamin Sesko goal off the bench that gave United a 71st-minute lead with a very composed finish.

Had a busier game than he would have wanted, with an unbelievable amount of pressure from every corner, but he did incredibly well to punch several away and even hold onto a handful.
Also made a handful of saves, the reason United won. A well-deserved clean sheet.
Diogo Dalot – 6.5
Continued his resurgence, never looked in danger, and got forward well, just lacking the end product.
Leny Yoro – 7.5
Had a shaky start in possession, but he grew into the game, looked solid defensively. Did well handling James Tarkowski from corners, his best game in ages.
Harry Maguire – 6.5
Solid as usual in defence, and had some strong rampaging runs forward from defence.
Luke Shaw – 6
He was fine against Ndiaye, but offered very little going forward.
Casemiro – 6

Some good balls in behind, and did well in the midfield battle. Was slightly sloppy at times.
Kobbie Mainoo – 6.5
One of the highlights, reliable in possession and won a lot of free-kicks to ease Everton’s pressure. Showed some quality in the final third too, creating a chance for Mbeumo.
Amad – 4.5
Really poor in possession, sloppy passes, and struggled to get at Jarrad Branthwaite. Improved slightly, but was taken off 56 minutes in, and rightfully so.
Bruno Fernandes – 6
Didn’t get on the ball enough in and around the box, but his work rate was as good as ever.
Bryan Mbeumo – 6.5
Struggled when leading the line once again, missed a big chance in the second half. Improved when moved out wide and did well to control the ball from Cunha and timed the pass to Sesko perfectly for the goal.
Matheus Cunha – 7.5
He was far from his electric best, but worked really hard defensively and played a wonderful pass to create the opening goal. Defended so well against Garner and won that battle, great performance.
Benjamin Sesko – 8
Had an immediate impact from the bench, scoring another huge goal for United. He has to start from now on.
Noussair Mazraoui – 6
Did well when he came on.
Ayden Heaven – N/A
Off the bench for Cunha, didn’t touch the ball.
