  1. Can’t believe this is a discussion. Donnarumma is miles better.

Take Gabriel and Saliba away from Raya and you’re left with Kepa in a beard.

  2. Anyone have that list of top 10 Prem keepers Sky was doing this morning, they put Donnarumma 6th of all time if I remember correctly, he’s only played half a season

  3. Donnaruma is better. He’s also 4 years younger and at 26 he technically hasn’t even reached his prime yet.

  4. Donna is one of the greatest signings in modern PL history when you think about it.

£25m for probably the best goalkeeper in the world, at 26 years old off the back of a UCL winning campaign where he starred in their win, WHEN his contract still had years on it?

    Unbelievable.

  5. If speaking about this season probably Donnarumma, if you take into account let’s say the last three, probably Raya. Donnarumma was a bit trash at PSG (except the second part of last season where he was exceptional) and his kicking is meh.

  6. *Manchester United have the best goalkeeper in the league,*

*not bias, honest hes just that good.*

Some months ago I would have said Donnarumma, now I am not so sure. Maybe still Donnarumma but Raya is a lot closer. Raya is smaller but has very fast reflexes.

Odd debate. I’m not sure this season comes down to who is the slightly better keeper.

Donnaruma is a little better shot-stopper. Raya is a little better coming off his line and distributing. To me it’s pretty much a wash.

  9. They’re good at different things. Donnarumma is a much better shot stopper and much more able to cover the goal and make saves that Raya cannot. Raya probably has better distribution, reflexes, and is better at claiming crosses.

Donnarumma is better overall because at the end of the day it’s about keeping the ball out of the net.

  10. Two completely different beasts, but you gotta say that these two could contend for best so far…Raya has uncanny way to pick balls up in almost impossible situations for a man his size, he is so aware and I love his reflexes, but he, like all goalies can make mistakes.

All I have to say is, that fukn rolling ball save from Prickarlison was just incredible man, just so damn cat reflexes good. Just can’t believe we got him for the price offered.

  11. I think Donnaruma is a better shot stopper, but Raya seems to always have great positioning in terms of rushing out and stopping through balls. Always seems to be ready.

I know the popular narrative is that Donnarumma is the better shot stopper but I think it’s pretty close – Raya has ridiculously good reflexes.

  13. Even as a Raya enjoyer, it’s obviously Donnarumma. Still haven’t forgiven him for last season 😭
