West Ham may already regret selling Luis Guilherme to Sporting in the January transfer window.
Guilherme joined the Hammers from Brazilian club Palmeiras for £25 million in the summer of 2024.
18 months later, the East London club gave up on the youngster and sold him to Sporting for only £17 million.
Most West Ham fans were comfortable with the decision, as he did not impress at the London Stadium, but perhaps he deserved more time.
Guilherme is now starting to prove his doubters wrong by fulfilling his potential in the Liga Portugal.

Luis Guilherme shines at Sporting in Geovany Quenda’s absence
Guilherme has been handed six starts since joining Sporting from West Ham at the start of the January window.
The Portuguese club have needed their new signing to perform as Geovany Quenda is currently out with a foot injury.
The on-loan Chelsea wonderkid, one of Sporting’s best players, is not expected to play again for several weeks.
Quenda’s injury has opened up the left wing position for Guilherme, who has seized his opportunity.
The former West Ham man has put in some quality performances despite struggling for goal contributions.
Guilherme’s ball-carrying started the move that led to Sporting’s first of three goals against Moreirense on Saturday.
Meanwhile, his excellent corner delivery earned him another pre-assist for Sporting’s third goal.

Luis Guilherme’s impressive start to life at Sporting is in direct contrast to Jarrod Bowen’s ongoing struggles.
The West Ham star has looked out of sorts recently, failing to score in his last four matches in all competitions.
Despite Bowen’s disappointing performance against Bournemouth, Nuno Espirito Santo opted against substituting him for Adama Traore.
This suggests that the Hammers boss lacks faith in Traore as a match-winner, and he may wish that he had another attacking option at his disposal.
Who knows whether Guilherme would have produced the goods at the London Stadium, but he’s certainly showcasing his talent elsewhere.
