Can’t wait for the minutes of the Collective meeting to be released so we can see these good faith discussions that he had with them. I’m sure that’ll be enlightening.

    Ambition

Start there then the fans may get on side.

Im not an advocate of disruption but ive been a long advocate of fools riding the gravy train.

We are currently world class at mediocrity thats all.

    Change

  3. ‘Surely the priority must be to give Martin and our players every opportunity to achieve their objectives within the remainder of the season.’

Apart from helping them out in the transfer window or anything silly like that. Bunch of cunts.

  4. HE’S FULL OF SHITE!

He could lift the ban tonight but won’t. The reason our team is playing the way it is isn’t thr fault of the fans its the fault of the board for making us loan FC with no striker for UCL qualifiers and have sabotaged themselves at every turn, the fans didn’t hire Nancy, the fans didn’t refuse to spend in January.

Lift the bans NOW or its only gonna continue

  5. “On that basis, I will continue to seek an end to this debilitating and unnecessary atmosphere of conflict.”

Have you tried sacking our mute ghost of a CEO, signing a couple of good players and letting fans back into the stadium to support the team? Those would be good places to start.

  6. >I want to see suspensions lifted and differences set aside, but this cannot be unconditional.

Ok, the disruption continues then. This stopped being a collaborative process years ago. The club set the adversarial tone and is reaping what it has sown.

The way to end conflict is to unban the green brigade and release a genuine apology to supporters in regards to hostile and condescending behaviour toward them. Then announce a genuine strategy and a 5 year plan for the club. Something that gives us actual clarity that we aren’t gunna see our club fade into obscurity. You can’t be disappointed at conflict that you started

  8. Still blaming the Green Brigade for last nights disruptions despite being banned is some mental gymnastics and shows that everything he and the club say on the matter is just complete bullshit and political propaganda.

“On that basis, I will continue to seek an end to this debilitating and unnecessary atmosphere of conflict” – would you ever fuck off, it is you and the club who are causing this ‘unnecessary atmosphere of conflict’ it’s a ridiculously easy fix if you actually wanted it.

“Surely the priority must be to give Martin and our players every opportunity to achieve their objectives” – again you are the ones still banning fans despite Martin and the players asking for them back. Also, you know what would really help achieve our objectives? Using some of that massive pile of cash to actually sign some decent players just a couple of weeks ago.

    Fuck the board.

  9. Happy clap, let’s get behind the team. The boys need as much support as they can..happy clap

Scottish football and club statements. A better love story than twilight.

(I’m 35 btw I don’t know if the kids have a more up to date version of that statement these days).

  11. You can’t blame the green brigade for the protests last night, so you can’t use them as a reason to delay their return.

    Shite statement

  12. That’s why the protest was a massive fail last night. It only served to double down the boards position. The board view fans (wrongly) as disrupters, so why would fans then play into their hands and disrupt? The key is to change their expectations so they see things from our pov.
Fans chant Martin O’Neill lovingly but don’t back the team doesn’t make sense
Unfortunately Wilson is right, just like Martin was last night. We need unity.

  13. PaleolithicLure on

“When I came into this role, I asked for unity inside the stadium to support the team while trying to resolve other issues.”

He has a brass neck to be going on about supporting the team considering the board’s utter failure to support the team by strengthening it during the transfer window.

  14. Go now, Brian – your Red Tory credentials don’t open doors with the fanbase.
And, Love of God, if you leave a legacy, please make it taking Nicholson and the Desmonds with yer

  15. Incredible hypocrisy and lack of self awareness: “Surely the priority must be to give Martin and our players every opportunity to achieve their objectives within the remainder of the season”, eh, sorry what? Had the board done their fucking jobs to begin with then we wouldn’t be in this situation! They’ve done the absolute opposite of giving the managers every opportunity to achieve their objectives. I’d say unbelievable but it absolutely is believable from these cunts.

  16. Ahhh I see that Brian Wilson has not lost the politicians ability to offer nothing more than platitudes.

  17. Translation: this board of chancers has jumped on O’Neill/Lennon’s comments last night in the hope of convincing enough useful idiots in the support that those demanding change or a better-run club are the ones we need to be ostracising, not the board. Well played, because if Reddit last night was anything to go by then the useful idiots are absolutely queueing up by the dozen to shout down the rest and maintain this board’s position.

  18. Less_Paint_2285 on

If you want unity and are acting in good faith lift the bans. It’s simple enough to do and creates a feel good factor around the place, which could only help the team. Deal with the other issues after that but it’s disingenuous to call for unity with the very people you’re banning.

  19. > I want to see suspensions lifted and differences set aside, but this cannot be unconditional.

We all want to see suspension lifted and differences set aside. But, what are these conditions (which are not mentioned in the statement)? Are these conditions going to be some power play to punish the fans?

  20. Maybe if you’d spent money on acquiring players to strengthen the team then Martin would have the requisite resources and fan buy in, Brian.
