If you haven't seen today's Stick To Football Ange basically admits it was a big mistake coming to Forest so soon after Spurs and he should have not done it. (He says all his friends were telling him not to but he didn't listen to them.)
He also says that even if he'd won a few of his games it wouldn't have made much long term difference. It just wasn't the right decision.
I'm sure we all agree.
But was our best half of football this season actually played under Ange? (Betis first half)

Our best football this season was under Nuno. That home again against Brentford, we were world beaters.
Calling Betis first half our best half of the season I feel isnt quite right. Opening match first half, Liverpool second half, either half vs Spurs all could be argued I think.
The problems at the club extended much higher up than just the bloke in the dug out. Don’t get me wrong his appointment didn’t help at all and we were effectively managerless for seven and a half games under him, but they aren’t solely down to him.
Marinakis’s fault. Ange is crap and should never have been appointed.
We played well for 45 minutes, the rest was utter shite. No revisionism comrade
He comes across very well in the episode. Also he mentions the number of interviews and the likelihood of saying something stupid because there are so many of them which i thought was interesting. Maybe if he joined at a different time, things may have been different. Like he said, no traction within the games and Forest really didn’t want to sack Nuno. Both Forest and him made shot gun decisions for the appointment and it didn’t work out this time.
At least he admits it was pure arrogance on his end and doesn’t shy away from it. Still doesn’t mean much when we’re as fucked as we are from his shite management
Ah ha, we’ve finally reached the point of Ange’s tenure where he will talk about us, instead of Spurs! Maybe he’ll talk about us throughout his next job.
Jokes aside, fair play to him for admitting it. I dislike the guy for a bunch of reasons, but you can’t ask for much more than “I made a bad decision and was out of my depth, sorry everyone, I’ll learn from that”.
