After the game today, I wasn't even mad like I was against Inter, Lazio or Atalanta. Today the feeling was different, rather pure sadness at how far we've fallen in the champions and how every year at around the same time we must face the depressing knockout games. I guess I could also say Serie A since we haven't been in a real scudetto race in years.
Then I came across this and it made me think of just how many European Knockout matches we've had to watch and suffer when only a decade ago we were beating Barca 3-0 in the quarters or eliminating real madrid at the bernabeu in the semis.

Apart from our UCL final curse which we all know about, I'm starting to believe this is applying to the knockout rounds now and I honestly am not sure when we will be able to compete properly again and have a good UCL run as it us a vicious cycle where new players live what happened in previous seasons.

I know we will sooner or later and when we do no one will like it, but how long do you think it will take us to get back to being a winning team?

  1. Maximilian_Sinigr on

As long as we keep wasting our finances on incompetent players who can’t show a normal play to save their lives, it will continue.

Comolli showed that he can do fuck all in that department. Giuntoli was the same.

  2. We need to keep a coach/management team for more than a season how about that? How is anyone surprised at these results atp. Blame the “incompetent players” like Koopmeiners who won Serie A best midfielder right before we bought him. Or Comolli who inherited a Juve with no money. When we start a season with Igor fucking Tudor as coach how can we expect more? We need to build a real team from the ground up like we used to, with smart low-cost and free transfers for players who know how to win. And please stop firing the coach/management that’s not gonna solve shit.

  3. Get Sevilla off here, nobody cares about Europa league. Instead it should be Maccabi Haifa lol or Benfica

  4. It will end when we do the following:

Extend Spalletti. Build a squad for Spalletti

It’s easy to blame sporting directors, but when you are funneling players to mediocre coaches that happens. Build around our coach and we can be dominate again
