Cho Gue-Sung insists on weighing whether he will be transferred in January at a time when Celtic is stepping up efforts to sign him – but his ultimate goal is England. After Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors striker shone for South Korea at the World Cup last year, Ange Postecoglou’s team is sought after by likes of Rangers, Mainz and Minnesota United. Celtic is believed have offered seven-figure cash as well as a 50 percent sale item to bail him out of the K-League, but the striker himself has yet hear anything black and white. He’s still looking at whether it’s better to go now or in the summer, but admits he has a future goal of the Premier League after his next signing. Gue-Sung told Naver, “I’m thinking about the timing of a European transfer while talking and communicating with director Park Ji-sung and coach Kim Sang-shik. I’ve seen many articles, but haven’t heard anything concrete yet. “Not only me, every player will want to go to Europe whenever they have the opportunity. This can be improved. We think about how we can do this in the most effective way.” “There are players team who need to progress in terms of transfer timing, there are players who need to prepare for season with squad summer. They are all very different. “Ultimately, I think if you’re a player, set your ultimate goal and go. All players will want to go to the EPL.”
